Lora Senf Wins 2023 Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Middle Grade Novel!

Updated: Jun 5

We are thrilled to announce that Lora Senf has won the prestigious 2023 Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Middle Grade Novel for the second book in her Blight Harbor series, The Nighthouse Keeper.

The Bram Stoker Awards, presented by the Horror Writers Association (HWA), honor superior achievement in horror writing. This year marks only the second time the award has included a category for middle grade novels, making Senf's win a particularly noteworthy achievement in her growing career. Her debut novel, The Clackity, a multiple-award nominee, was also a finalist for the first-ever Bram Stoker middle grade award.

Spencerhill is thrilled to see Senf join the ranks of celebrated authors who have made significant contributions to the horror genre. Her upcoming releases include the third book in the Blight Harbor series, The Loneliest Place, from Simon & Schuster's Atheneum Books for Young Readers (September 17, 2024), and her YA debut, The Losting Fountain, from Union Square & Co. (December 31, 2024). For more information about Lora Senf and her award-winning books, please visit Lora Senf's website at www.lorasenf.com. Senf is represented by Ali Herring at Spencerhill.
